Introduction
A controlled responsiveness drill that teaches players to identify and correct small mechanical errors immediately after they occur, improving drift awareness and alignment reliability.
Key Points
- Builds rapid mechanical correction habits.
- Improves awareness of drift and misalignment.
- Strengthens joint stability during correction.
- Reduces overcorrection tendencies.
- Supports accuracy-focused training.
Details
Players raise the marker and hold it steady. A partner or a simple self-timer signals a moment for the player to intentionally disrupt alignment slightly by shifting the marker off-center.
The player must immediately correct the misalignment using small, controlled adjustments from the shoulder, elbow, or wrist.
The correction must be smooth and minimal; jerky or exaggerated movements indicate overreaction.
This drill builds responsive mechanical stability and trains players to maintain alignment under small unintentional disturbances.
