Introduction
An endurance conditioning drill that strengthens the player’s ability to maintain upper body stability and posture quality over extended durations.
Key Points
- Builds upper body muscular endurance.
- Improves long duration posture consistency.
- Reduces fatigue based alignment breakdown.
- Strengthens shoulder, arm, and core engagement.
- Prepares players for high volume training sessions.
Details
Players hold the marker in a ready stance for long intervals beginning at 30 seconds and extending gradually to 60 or 90 seconds. The emphasis is maintaining stable alignment without sagging elbows, rotating shoulders, or shifting posture.
To prevent stiffness or sudden fatigue collapse, players may perform small stability checks every 10–15 seconds. These checks involve minimal positional corrections intended to maintain consistency.
The drill strengthens fundamental endurance, which is essential for avoiding form breakdown in later high repetition drills or extended gameplay.
